How We Achieve Our Mission
  • Raise endowment funds to provide for the long-term financial stability of the College of the Desert.
  • Establish a fund development strategy which includes Planned Giving, Private & Public Grants, individual, community and corporate major gifts, special events, annual campaigns, and other creative giving opportunitites.
  • Serve as a steward of donated funds through
    • sound fiscal accountability. The Foundation
    reviews and approves expenditures of donated
    funds to assure that they are properly spent
    in accordance with the donors’ directions
    and Foundation policy.
  • Facilitate a campus-wide policy on fund development and donor recognition, which is implemented at the direction of the College President.
